7:30 - 8:30 am, Lindbergh Room

The finance world has its own distinct career paths, lingo and colloquialisms, which can be a mystery to outsiders and a frustration to those recruiters who want OP students to make the best possible impression immediately.  This sunrise primer will give an overview of the various paths available to those interested broadly in finance, helping students to understand the difference between private wealth management, investment banking, sales and trading, corporate finance, etc.  From this session, we hope that students will gain a basic understanding of the world of finance so that they can be best prepared to select the appropriate finance career panels to attend later in the day, and then to make the best possible impression at those panels.  This is a must-attend for any student interested in finance—so wake up early and join us!  Breakfast will be provided.
